Dove Meadows Covid 19 – Update 31.07.2020
We are delighted to announce we will be opening Dove Meadows to all customers on the 5th July 2020.
However – we are certainly in new and challenging times, so please do take a few moments to read our customer pre-arrival information carefully. There is lots to read but it’s all really important.
Please also take some time to ensure all members of your party are up to date with government advice and Information.
There will be quite a few ‘new’ measures in place, these will affect some more than others. Facilities are open but these are strictly for the use of customers without their own onboard facilities – Campers and camper vans. If you have facilities on board we politely insist that you must use these first, before heading to the areas on site. This is a safety measure and a courtesy to your fellow campers who do not have their own. This measure has been put in place to ensure everyone can come and stay here, and not having to exclude anyone from enjoying their holiday.
The most important aspect is to assess that you are well to travel and be in public areas – if you are not well, please (please!) stay at home.
We have a contact trace system in place for all customers. This is will enable us to protect and contact anybody who has come to the site if there in a second outbreak in the Uk or the local area. The form has been developed with the guidance from NHS test and trace, and it is a legal requirement to obtain certain details from our customers. The forms are kept securely and are destroyed 21 days after the departure date. The information collated is purely for use by NHS Test and Trace, and will only be used if requested by the service. It is for this reason along with reducing numbers on site, that we cannot accept any extra visitors at this time. We are within our rights to deny a customer to enter the site if they are displaying Covid-19 symptoms.
FROM THE 14TH SEPTEMBER, SOCIAL GATHERINGS ARE TO BE RESTRICTED TO NO MORE THAN 6 PEOPLE*
PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF THIS NEW LEGISLATION WHEN SOCIALISING ON-SITE
*“COVID-19 secure venues can continue to host people up to their social distancing capacity but that no-one can visit in a group of more than six (except for the exemptions and where the household (including bubble) is greater than six).” – VisitEngland.org
You can also read our full risk assessment to assure yourself of the measures we are taking to keep you and our staff safe, and the evidence and thought processes behind all decisions.
If you have any concerns or questions about your stay, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call on 01736 710854.
Our very best wishes,
The Dove Meadows Team
