Dove Meadows Covid 19 – Update 23.02.2021
We are delighted to announce that we are able to open from the 12th April 2021, as per government advice , in STEP 2 of the lockdown exit plan.
Our facilities are Covid safe, with individual stalls and screening in place, but at this stage, indoor mixing is not permitted until further stages of the roadmap out of lockdown. You can view this here.
This means we can only accommodate customers with their own on-board provisions until May 17th, at the earliest.
WE ARE LEGALLY OBLIGATED TO CLOSE OUR LOO’S SHOWERS AND DISHWASHING FACILITIES DURING STEP 2.
“Overnight stays away from home in this country will be permitted and self-contained
accommodation – those that do not require shared use of bathing, entry/exit, catering
or sleeping facilities – can also reopen, though must only be used by members of the
same household.” Source: COVID-19 RESPONSE −
We are certainly in new and challenging times, so please do take a few moments to read our customer pre-arrival information carefully. There is lots to read but it’s all really important.
Please also take some time to ensure all members of your party are up to date with government advice and Information.
SAFETY MEASURES ON SITE
There will be quite a few ‘new’ measures in place, these will affect some more than others. Facilities will be open if the government allows, but these are strictly for the use whilst adhering to social distancing and we politely ask customers to wear a face covering where possible for their safety, and that of fellow facility users. If you have facilities on board we politely request that you must use these first, before heading to the areas on site. However the facilities are open for all our customers to use. This is a safety measure and a courtesy to your fellow campers who do not have their own. This measure has been put in place to ensure everyone can come and stay here, and not having to exclude anyone from enjoying their holiday, and in an attempt to reduce contact and possible risk of virus transmission.
The most important aspect is to assess that you are well to travel and be in public areas – if you are not well, please (please!) stay at home.
TEST AND TRACE
We have a contact trace system in place for all customers. This is will enable us to protect and contact anybody who has come to the site, and it is a legal requirement to obtain certain details from our customers.
We are within our rights to deny a customer to enter the site if they are displaying Covid-19 symptoms.
We will be displaying the QR Test and Trace code for use with the NHS Test and Trace app, if customers wish to use it.
WHICH TIER ARE YOUR TRAVELING FROM?
Please be mindful and considerate when making your travel plans.
Please note the following from gov.uk:
“we are advising people not to travel into or out of an area if it has been categorised as a very high alert level area. This is part of wider measures to help manage the risk of transmission.”
If you are concerned that you should not travel, we encourage this decision to prevent the spread of the virus and we would like to do everything we can to facilitate this. Please ask for more details if your travel plans have to change.
WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING ADMISSIONS FROM LOCKDOWN AREAS, TEIR 3 OR 4 AND USE THE GOV.UK POSTCODE CHECKER, TO IDENTIFIY ALL CUSTOMER’S LOCATIONS.
If your visit is subject to a legal restriction, you will be contacted by us to regrettably cancel your stay. If a deposit has been paid, a refund or transfer will be offered. A legal restriction is a regional or national lockdown, tier 3 and tier 4. The need to isolate after receiving a positive test or experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, is also classed a a legal requirement, effective from the 28th September 2020 (source gov.uk).
If you are concerned that you cannot travel, and wish to know the government guidance on consumer contracts and your legal rights, please click here.
FROM THE 14TH SEPTEMBER, SOCIAL GATHERINGS ARE TO BE RESTRICTED TO NO MORE THAN 6 PEOPLE*
PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF THIS NEW LEGISLATION WHEN SOCIALISING ON-SITE
*“COVID-19 secure venues can continue to host people up to their social distancing capacity but that no-one can visit in a group of more than six (except for the exemptions and where the household (including bubble) is greater than six).” – VisitEngland.org
